Alabama RN to MSN Nursing Programs with Degree Overviews

University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Nursing

The University of Alabama at Birmingham offers an Honors nursing program that gives students the chance to work with mentors in the research field, as well as a variety of other experiential programs that place graduates in satisfying careers upon completion of the program.

RN Educational Mobility Program (RNEMP)

Designed for those students who already hold an associate's degree or other certificate in Nursing, this is a program that leads to a Masters in Nursing if the full course is taken. There are two options or educational paths that students might follow, including the RN-BSN course or the full RN-BSN-MSN pathway, which is more extensive in internship opportunities and coursework. There are options available to specialize in health systems management, clinical nurse specialist, or other individualized programs of study depending on the student's interests, leading to a vast array of potential career options upon graduation.

Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Graduate students in the Nursing program can also begin their studies with the pursuit of an MSN as the end goal.
